what is recycled canvas

Recycled Canvas (or recycled cotton) is fabric made from processing a mix of pre-consumer cotton textiles leftover from textile production and that would otherwise be sent to the landfill.

The process involves collecting unused fabrics from factories and textile mills. Threads are deconstructed from the fabric pieces and spun into yarn and then woven into Recycled Canvas fabric. Our Recycled Canvas fabric is not dyed. Our colors of Recycled Canvas are the product of sorting fabrics by color and processing together like colors to result in specific colors. For instance, our Gray Recycled Canvas fabric is made from processing gray fabrics together.

let no unused fabric go to waste

After factories and textile mills cut fabric into finished products, there is often a substantial amount of fabric left unused but in the form of scraps. We can avoid wasting this material and avoid adding yet more to our landfills by processing these scraps into new high quality fabric which we call RECYCLED CANVAS used for making bags, totes, aprons, and more.
